06.08 Natural Child, The Middens & Rat Tales!

WEDNESDAY JUNE 8TH 2011

NATURAL CHILD (Nashville TN RnR 420)
The first of the Nashville invasion taking place in June and it is a good one, to be sure. They put on one of my favorite shows at SXSW this year and now they're coming to Cap City to lay down some southern garage rock n roll. Check out some of their songs and try not to get hooked immediately. I dare you.

THE MIDDENS (Last Show Ever)

About a year ago these three fine gentlemen started playing some pretty trashy, dirty blues. It brought back fond memories of Ottawa in the late 90s. They turned up the 'verb, maxed out the fuzz and screamed some excellent garage in a way that would make Jon Spenser proud as piss. Sadly, it wasn't meant to be. So if you haven't had a chance to see them yet, you got one last chance.

RAT TALES (ex-the Girlfriends)

If they're not picking your pocket, they're stealing your heart. I've heard nothing but good things. I can't wait to see em.
